Walk-ins are welcome, but making an appointment assures you personal, one-on-one time with a staff member. Buy a few bridal magazines and look to see what styles might appeal to you. Bring them with the day of the appointment.
Choose your shopping partners wisely. It might seem best to bring a few close friends or relatives along, but it can be a mistake to take more than necessary. Bring your maid of honor and your mother or someone whose opinion you trust.
January through June are very busy months with prom and weddings coming up. Saturdays and Wednesdays are especially busy. If possible, schedule an appointment on another day to ensure that you get the attention you deserve and it may also save you having to wait for a dressing room.
Wear appropriate undergarments. If you have a strapless bra, we suggest wearing it or bringing it along to change into before trying on gowns. Have something that will keep your hair up during this time. That way you can see the complete look of having your hair up with the gown and veil.
Remember a gown might not look very flattering on the hanger, but try it on anyway. There are various styles to look at, so do not be afraid to try something "different" on. That dress may just be the dress of your dreams.
Be aware that gown size is not the same as retail store size. You will find that designer gowns run a size or two smaller than you would normally wear, so please do not fret. The size we order is only a number based on your measurements and the designers chart. The size of a wedding gown is meaningless - what matters is how beautiful you are the day of your wedding.
Do not wait too long to start looking for your wedding gown. Most designer gowns take 6 to 8 months to get from the time they are ordered. You will also need time for fittings and alterations.
Have FUN!!! This will be one of the biggest decisions you will make, so relax, have fun, and let our friendly and professional staff make this a day to remember... forever.
We realize that every wedding has a budget of which the wedding gown is only a small part. We also realize that brides place different levels of importance on their wedding gown. Letting us know the price range you have in mind helps both you and us to concentrate on gowns within your budget.
